Best Season
Each windmill site has its own best season. Dutch mills look their best from spring to early autumn, La Mancha is most pleasant outside the summer heat, and the Greek islands are calmer before and after the peak holiday months.
Choose a month to see where to go. Places marked Best time have the most pleasant conditions, Good means a fine visit with some trade-offs, and Off-season means shorter days, colder weather, strong heat or limited opening.
